TRAINING COORDINATOR / Vural Yıldırım

He was born in Adapazarı. He received undergraduate and graduate education in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory Ethnomusicology - Folklore Department. He worked as an editor in the editions of "Etnomüzikoloji" and "Mistik Müzik," in Folklor/Edebiyat Journal, and in the special editions of "Kültürel Kimlik ve Müzik" in Toplumbilim Journal. He gave folk music concerts (with Tarkan Koç) in Italian opera hall (2002), Ada Cultural center (2000) and Akatlar Cultural Center (1999). His papers and articles were published in the journals of Orkestra, Folklor/Edebiyat, Motif, Simurg, Felsefelogos, Genç Sanat. He gave lectures about Popular music, Folk Music and Change, Music and Anthropology and so on in various universities. He worked in national and international musicology symposium organizing committee. He presented papers at various symposiums. He was among those who organized musical interviews in partnership with Istanbul Technical University, Center for Advanced Studies in Music and Musicology series. He made the music of the performance study entitled "İfadeler" (with Tarkan Koç) for the arts festival in Germany (kunstakademie-Münster, "Buluşmo -Begegnung-) of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He made performance musics in Bahariye Sanat Galerisi, Çekirdek Sanat Galerisi exhibition openings. He undertook the editorship of Berrak Taranç's books entitled Akdeniz Müziğinin Türk ve Yunanlı Kökenleri ve İki Kıyının Müziği published by Ürün Yayınları. His book entitled Müzik Felsefesine Giriş was published by Bağlam yayınları (With Tarkan Koç). His book entitled İsmail Tunalı was published by Altın kitaplar yayınevi. His book of Fatih Sarmanlı (special Edition), İstanbulda Plastik Sanatlar ve Müzik were published by Bahariye Sanat Galerisi yayınları. His book entitled Müzik Tarihine Genel Bakış ve Küçük Müzik Sözlüğü was published by Nota yayıncılık. He is presently the editor of Bağlam Yayıncılık Music Science Series.
