The technology which is originally "Augmented Reality" and abbreviated as "AR" and also called as "Enriched Reality" is used in local authorities in mobile application for the first time called as FatihAR by the Fatih Municipality.
FatihAR Application
As technology develops, it brings the elements that ease our lives. We take information as a guide to enhance Fatih to the level of modern cities; and we closely follow up technology to reach maximum information. We render service with information and technology and administrate our district with information and technology.
We are frequently conducting R&D studies to use technological tools more effectively to enhance the service quality.  Augmented Reality technology comes up as a result of these R&D studies.
You can obtain interactive information (text, picture, audio, video etc.) belonging to spatial objects          (building, important places, historical structures) around you when you use camera of the mobile dice and take a look at your surroundings with our project FatihAR.
For example, you can open FatihAR application in your mobile phone while sitting in Sultanahmet Square and direct your phone to the Sultanahmet Mosque and you can see the information that our municipality shares in relation with the monument in your screen.
Furthermore, application leads you where your target is.
Intra-organization version of this application shows information regarding the city block, parcel, address interrogation and registered monuments for now.
It is certain that these applications are the first step of the FatihAR and it is going to be developed more and enriched in content and extent in use area.
Fatih Municipality, continues its pioneering role in informatics, added new and different dimensions to its studies with popular technology Augmented Reality lately.
FatihAR presents rich user interface for rapid and easy use. New models or contents are easily added within brief period of time.
