Famous models took 250-meter long platform as part of laleli fashion shopping festival

Famous models took the 250-meter long platform that was built in Mesihpaşa Street, Laleli, as part of 3rd Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival organized in İstanbul.

Organized by Laleli Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (LASİAD) with the support of Mayor of Fatih, Mustafa Demir, Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival continues with various events. As part of the festival, Turkey’s longest platform, 250-meter long, was built in Mesihpaşa Street, Laleli.

Ahmet Selamet, Deputy Mayor of İstanbul, Mustafa Demir, Mayor of Fatih, Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Chairman of LASİAD, shopkeepers in Laleli and people showed great interest in the event.

Procurement committees from a total of 27 countries, being Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kirghizstan, Uzbekistan, Libya, Algeria, Angola, Zambia, Mali, Morocco, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Sudan, Nigeria, Iran, Senegal, Brazil, Pakistan, India, China, South Africa, Lebanon and Ghana, participate in the festival.

“Laleli is a door expanding to abroad in trade and tourism. That’s why Laleli is very important to me”, said Mustafa Demir, Mayor of Fatih, taking the platform before the fashion show.


Designs of Laleli’s favorite brands were displayed by famous models on the Turkey’s longest 250-meter platform which was built in Mesihpaşa Street, Laleli. Billur Kalkavan presented the event and famous models, including Wilma Elles, Tülin Şahin, Merve Büyüksaraç, Didem Taslan, Cleo and Ayşe Hatun Önal, walked on the platform.
