230 Thousand Square Meter Land Walls Nation's Garden Will Breathe New Life into Fatih

Fatih Municipality has managed to increase the amount of green areas in the district by 58 percent in the last three years. In addition to the new green areas offered to the service of the Fatih residents, works continue at full speed for the realization of visionary projects that will meet the green area needs of all Istanbulites, such as the Karagümrük Park and Life Center, the Land Walls Nation’s Garden and the Sirkeci – Kazlıçeşme Recreation Project, which are currently under construction. With the completion of the projects that are currently under construction, Fatih's green area, which was 882 thousand square meters in 2019, will increase to 1 million 375 thousand square meters as of 2022.

LAND WALLS NATION’S GARDEN HAS MANY SOCIAL REINFORCEMENT AREAS

One of the important projects that will make Fatih a center of attraction, Land Walls Nation’s Garden will greatly increase the amount of green space in Istanbul in general and Fatih in particular. Land Walls Nation’s Garden, which hosts a historical and green area with many social reinforcement areas, will breathe a new life into Fatih, which has increased its green area rate since 2019. In the Land Walls Nation’s Garden, there will be medicinal and aromatic plant gardens as well as children's village and children's playgrounds, women's handicraft market, sports activity and picnic areas, and the children's library. In addition, in the project, which will include 3 and a half kilometers of bicycle and 4 kilometers of pedestrian paths, trees will be planted at a certain interval and the visibility of the land walls will be highlighted in this way.

Moreover, the Land Walls Nation's Garden project is just one example of the efforts to make Fatih greener. As a result of the works carried out in many parks, gardens and public areas, Fatih will have a green area of 1 million 375 thousand square meters when the projects are completed. Thanks to the works carried out since 2019, Fatih's green areas have increased by 58 percent, while the amount of green area per capita has increased by 83%.
