Award to Fatih Municipality from Union of Municipalities of Turkey

“Zero Waste and Municipalities Congress and Award Ceremony” was organized by Union of Municipalities of Turkey in Ankara.

Mrs. Emine Erdoğan honored the ceremony where Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan also participated. “Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle Project” developed by Fatih Municipality was one of the projects that was awarded in the ceremony.

Thanks to our “Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle Project” developed to raise awareness of our citizens regarding waste collection, to protect the environment, and to contribute to the household economy, 45,300 kilograms of waste was recycled until today.

103 residents that brought waste were given 5,000 TL-worth of shopping checks. Until the end of 2020 we target that 3000 persons would bring their waste to Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle to recycle 100,000 kilograms of waste.
