Boyacı Kapısı (Painter's Gate) Fountain Joined with Water!

One of the fountains in Fatih, Boyacı Kapısı Fountain was joined with water following its repair and maintenance.

Next to their architectural characteristics and visual grace, fountains that reflect our culture and take us way back at times transfer our historic and cultural opulence. One of them, Boyacı Kapısı Fountain is situated at Ali Kuşçu Neighborhood, right next to Painter's Gate of Fatih Complex. Because the fountain has no epitaph, there is no information on its date of construction or benefactor. The fountain that reflects the Classical Period of architecture has a reservoir and a pointed arch on the front. The basin stone and seating benches of the cut stone fountain are made of marble. Cleaning and scraping efforts were carried out on the fountain and the cemetery behind it and after the necessary plastic repairs, the missing parts were completed and the fountain was connected to water line.
