Citizens Enjoyed the Sports and Entertainment Festival for the Disabled at the Canoe and Rowing Sports Centre
At the 6th Traditional Sports and Entertainment Festival for the Disabled held at Fatih Municipality Canoe and Rowing Sports Center for the Disability Week, the participants came together, made new friends and had a pleasant day. This event once again demonstrated the unifying power of sports.
14 May 2024The 6th Traditional Sports and Entertainment Festival for the Disabled, organized at Canoe and Rowing Sports Center of Fatih Municipality specifically for the Disability Week, brought its participants together with a fun day. The programme started in an enthusiastic atmosphere after a moment of silence and the National Anthem performed in sign language by the students of Bakırköy Özyazıcı Special Education and Vocational High School. After the protocol members shared their feelings, disabled citizens, teachers and their families experienced the power of sports once again. In addition to traditional sports events, demonstrations and workshops in different sports branches were also organized.
The colourful events such as the Nasrettin Hodja Show of Humma Hatun Special Education Kindergarten, the Waltz Show of Remziye Yakup Kutsal Special Education Vocational School within Bayrampaşa Municipality, the Republic Show of Fatih Oruçgazi Secondary School Special Education Class and the Karate Show of Büyükçekmece Sports Schools of Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports (GSİM) attracted the attention of the participants. In addition, Beylikdüzü Yaşam Autism Pompom Show, Fatih Hobyarlı Ahmet Paşa Primary School's Atabarı Show, Beylikdüzü Gelişim Autism Gymnastics Show and Eyüp Otakçılar Fatma Mehpare Buluğ Primary and Secondary School's Free Children Pompom Group were also highly appreciated.
In the event area, the Darbuka Show of Rhythm 5 Band, Clown-Mascot Bulki and Educational Activity Stands for Face Painting were presented to the participants. Citizens also spent time with sports activities at 20 Stations titled "Sports Everywhere". While having fun together, they made new friends and had a day full of joy. In this way, the unifying power of sports was emphasized once again.
