"Cultural Municipalism" Award to Fatih Municipality from the Turkish Writers' Union

In the ceremony held by the Turkish Writers' Union in Sakarya under the name of "Writers, Intellectuals and Artists of the Year", the awards evaluated in 29 different branches of literature and art were presented to their owners. Fatih Municipality received the Turkish Writers' Union Special Award for "Cultural Municipalism" for its activities.

The "Writers, Intellectuals and Artists of the Year" awards, which were launched by the Turkish Writers' Union (TYB) in 1981 in order to encourage and appreciate writers, poets and scientists and to crown these works with awards, attracted great enthusiasm as in every year. The Turkish Writer's Union (TYB) Special Award for "Cultural Municipalism", which was introduced for the first time this year, was presented to Fatih Municipality at the ceremony attended by Abdullah Kargılı, Director of Cultural Affairs. Fatih Municipality's vision of Cultural Municipality is to reinforce the relationship between the heritage of the past and the living city, to carry this accumulated knowledge to the future in a stronger way, to carry out rich content culture and arts activities and culture and arts publications, to develop cultural policy in a multi-faceted, holistic framework and to plan the city through culture.
