Emine Sultan Fountain Restored with Water

Fatih Municipality continues to contribute to its cultural heritages. Our Cultural Heritage Directorate restored Emine Sultan Fountain and brought it to the present day.

The fountain is located on Küçük Saray Square Street in Fatih Mevlanakapı Quarter next to the courtyard gate of Mimar Acem Mosque. It was commissioned by Emine Sultan, daughter of Sultan Mustafa II, in 1738-39.
The fountain with pointed arches was built of cut stone and the façade of the fountain is decorated with mirror stone. It was cleaned and the damaged parts were repaired and the water was restored by carrying out landscaping.
