At the opening ceremony of the historical mosque, which was reopened for worship after the restoration works that were initiated in 2016, President Erdoğan delivered a speech after the prayer made by Istanbul Provincial Mufti Safi Arpaguş. President Erdoğan, who, during his speech, said "We are on Friday Eid. On such a festive day, we have restored our New Mosque, which has been under renovation, repair and restoration for a long time. This unity and solidarity will be our biggest celebration" was accompanied by Bekir Bozdağ, the Minister of Justice, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Vahit Kirişci, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ali Yerlikaya, the Governor of Istanbul, Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, the AK Party Provincial Chairman and our Mayor Mehmet Ergün Turan.
