Fatih Municipality Carries Out Another Magnificent Work of Art

The work titled 'Revnakoğlu's Istanbul-Inner History of Istanbul: Fatih', compiled by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Koç with the contributions of Fatih Municipality, met with the readers.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Koç's meticulous work on the 350-file archive of Cemaleddin Server Revnakoğlu, who was an expert on historical archives, antiquities and epigraphs, which witnessed the last half of the Ottoman Empire and the first half century of the Republic have been added to our cultural world within the scope of Fatih Municipality’s Cultural Publications. The first two volumes of the work, which met with the readers with the publicity meeting hosted by Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan, will consist of 5 volumes in total. It contains rich information from the Revnakoğlu archive, from the architecture to the cultural texture of districts such as Topkapı, Şehremini, Samatya, Yedikule, Kocamustafapaşa, Yenikapı, Aksaray, Mevlanakapı, Belgradkapı, Silivrikapı, Haseki, and Samatya, which have not been included in any city guide before.
