Golden Ant Award to Fatih Municipality

At Golden Ant Municipality Awards that is traditionally organized by Marmara Municipalities Union, Fatih Municipality received 2020 Golden Ant Award with its Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle and Living Centers Stationary Waste Collection Center / Every Waste Prepares for Supermarket Shopping project.

Organized to support model implementations, ensure sharing experiences and information among municipalities, the Golden Ant Municipality Awards were given. In the ceremony 52 awards were given to 41 municipalities in 10 different categories. In the contest among elite projects, Fatih Municipality was awarded with its Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle and Living Centers Stationary Waste Collection Center / Every Waste Prepares for Supermarket Shopping project.

68,500 Kilograms of water were recycled

Receiving the award on behalf of Fatih Municipality, Deputy Mayor Hasan Durhat said: “In our Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle and Living Centers Stationary Waste Collection Center / Every Waste Prepares for Supermarket Shopping project as Fatih Municipality, our residents can bring waste they separate at home to our stationary collection vehicle and living centers to participate in the project. In addition to the stationary waste collection centers we built in our district, our mobile collection vehicle gives service on 6 days of the week at 12 different focus points for residents. With the project we have been running for 3 months, we recycled 68,500 kilograms of waste.”
