Golden Ant Award to Tourism Ambassadors

The 6th Golden Ant awards organized by Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU) were given in an organization. Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors project of Fatih Municipality was also given an award.

The most prestigious local government award, given to successful projects of municipalities and best examples, the ‘Golden Ant Municipality Awards’ were given to winners. Chairman of Marmara Municipalities Union and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbaş, Secretary General of Marmara Municipalities Union M. Cemil Arslan and mayors of member municipalities participated in the organization together with Director of Culture and Social Affairs Abdullah Kargılı representing Fatih Municipality.

Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors Received Awards

The contest was organized in 8 different categories including Disaster Management, Zoning, Urban Development, and Aesthetics, Corporate Management and Development, Culture and Arts, Social Order and Social Services, Transportation and Infrastructure Services, Parks and Environmental Management Services, R&D and Innovation and municipalities with successful projects were awarded. Hundreds of outstanding projects participated in the contest where 88 awards were given. Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors project of Fatih Municipality was also given an award. Director of Culture and Social Affairs Abdullah Kargılı received the award representing Fatih Municipality.
