Hacı Hasan Fountain Regained Water

Cement plaster at reservoir and facades of Hacı Hasan Fountain at Sultanahmet Neighborhood were replastered using original material and the layers of paint on the surface were cleaned.

The fountain is located at Sultanahmet Neighborhood, at Oyuncu Street. It is thought to be built by Hacı Hasan in 1713-14. The fountain has a reservoir that is known to be built using cut stone. On both sides of the embossed ornamental slab there are two marble pieces that extend until the bow. On these pieces there are pictures of fruits such as pomegranates and grapes that represent plenty in plates.

Podium stones of the fountain were renewed and cement plaster at reservoir and facades of the fountain were removed to replaster using original material. Layers of paint accumulated on the facade were carefully cleaned and the fountain regained its water.
