Historical Water Culture and Structures Symposium Held at Fatih Culture and Art Centre

Historical Water Culture and Structures Symposium was held in Fatih Culture and Art Centre in four sessions with the participation of Fatih Mayor Mr. M. Ergün Turan, Mr. Coşkun Yılmaz, the İstanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, Prof. Dr. İskender Pala and the advisory board of distinguished names.

Fatih Municipality addressed the value of water for the city, culture, architecture, literature, religion and society, the current status of historical water structures, their functions, current problems and conservation suggestions. These issues were discussed at the Historical Water Culture and Structures Symposium organised for the second time. The symposium, which was attended by Fatih Mayor Mr. M. Ergün Turan, Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Mr. Coşkun Yılmaz, Prof. Dr. İskender Pala, was held in Fatih Culture and Art Centre in four sessions advised by Prof. Dr. Baha Tanman, Prof. Dr. İdris Bostan, Prof. Dr. Kemal Kutgün Eyüpgiller, Prof. Dr. M. Hüsrev Subaşı, Prof. Dr. Selçuk Mülayim, Prof. Dr. Suphi Saatçi and Prof. Uğur Derman.
