International İstanbul Open Chess Tournament Has Started

International İstanbul Open Chess Tournament, hosted by Fatih Municipality in cooperation with the Turkish Chess Federation, has started.

The tournament, which broke a record with the participation of 45 title holders, more than 65 foreigners and more than 1000 athletes from 22 countries at Atatürk Çağdaş Yaşam Sports Hall, has also become the tournament with the highest participation among the international chess tournaments held in our country. M. Ergün Turan, Mayor of Fatih Municipality, met separately with the contestants participating in the tournament and wished them success. At the end of the tournament, which will last until August 14, prizes up to 100 thousand TL will be given to the winners.
