‘Karasurları National Garden' Awarded in the “Urban Planning and Infrastructure” category within the scope of MBB's Altın Karınca Awards

In the Altın Karınca Awards organised by Marmara Municipalities Union, the ‘Karasurları National Garden’ project was awarded in the ‘Urban Planning and Infrastructure’ category. Mr. M. Ergün Turan, the Mayor of Fatih Municipality described the project as an important work of the vision of ‘Equipment-Oriented Transformation and Green Space’ and thanked Marmara Municipalities Union and the members of the selection committee.

Altın Karınca Awards organised by Marmara Municipalities Union were held with the participation of Mr. M. Ergün Turan, the Mayor of Fatih Municipality. At the ceremony, ‘Karasurları National Garden’ project by Fatih Municipality was deemed worthy of an award in the ‘Urban Planning and Infrastructure’ category.

The project, which aims to clean the unqualified structures around the historical land walls, increase the green area ratio of the region and make the area safer and more viable, stands out as an exemplary work in the field of landscaping and planning. In his speech at the award ceremony, Mr. Turan, the Mayor stated that the ‘Karasurları National Garden’ project is one of the most valuable works of the ‘Equipment-Oriented Transformation and Green Space’ vision and thanked Marmara Municipalities Union and the members of the selection committee for this meaningful award. He also emphasised that the devoted work of all teammates who contributed to the project had an important share in this success.

Mr. Turan, the Mayor stated that not only a physical transformation but also a regeneration process in accordance with the historical texture of the region has been realised thanks to the project and that Fatih Municipality's works in the field of urban planning and environment will be maintained.
