Maintenance and Repair Works at Hacı Piri Street are Complete

Hacı Piri Street was renovated in the scope of maintenance and repair works.

With Traditional Wooden Construction Workshop established in the scope of Directorate of Cultural Heritage Protection, applications are conducted in staged on wooden structures in our district that require maintenance and repair. 5 registered buildings that require maintenance and repair were detected at Hacı Piri Street in Yedikule Neighborhood that is home to many registered wooden structures. Load-bearing carcass of the building on the facades was strengthened and the decaying facade coverings were renewed with their original details within the scope of maintenance and repair works. Joinery of the buildings, such as doors and windows, were reproduced using the traditional method and original materials, through archive research or analogy method and maintenance and repair works were completed.
