Mayor Turan Celebrated World Environment Day at Land Walls Nation's Garden with Our Little Ones

Mayor Turan attended several activities that were organized at Land Walls Nation’s Garden in the scope of World Environment Day. Mayor noted that they will continue to work for a greener and more habitable Fatih altogether.

World Environment Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Land Walls Nation’s Garden with attendance of Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan. Children, families, and environmentalists followed the activities with enthusiasm.

The activity lead to enjoyable moments with children. Children had fun in addition to raised awareness on environment with workshops and nature walks. In addition, “Letter to the Future” contest was organized with participation of children. Children expressed their hopes and expectations on future of Fatih in letters.

In his speech Mayor Turan noted that the day was colorful, fun, and nested with the environment and said: "We will continue to work towards a greener and more habitable Fatih altogether".

Information stands on recycling and sustainable life were established at the activity organized at Land Walls Nation’s Garden. Attendees examined works of art made using recycled materials finding a new opportunity to grasp the importance of recycling.
