Mayor Turan Opened the Exhibition “From Calligraphy to Color”

The works produced by our women with compassion and effort in the trainings organized by the KARINCA Education Unit within the Fatih Municipality, in cooperation with the Fatih Public Education Center, were showcased in the exhibition "From Calligraphy to Color".

The works of the trainees of KARINCA in the branches of porcelain painting, ceramic shaping, glass painting, calligraphy, illumination, marbling and oil painting were presented to art enthusiasts with the exhibition “From Calligraphy to Color”. Fatih District Director of National Education Mucip Kına, Fatih Public Education Center Director Ali Fuat Sönmez, AK Party (the Justice and Development Party) District Head Orhan Narin, trainees and guests attended the opening hosted by Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan. OUR WOMEN CONTRIBUTE TO OUR FATIH WITH THEIR WORK Mayor Turan, in his speech at the opening, stated that he was proud of their handcrafted works of the women of Fatih and he said: “Our women always make great contributions to our Fatih with their compassion, effort, knowledge and productivity. We, as Fatih Municipality, are working to realize beautiful and beneficial projects that will activate the entrepreneurial spirit of our women to participate in production. One of these works is our KARINCA courses, which are carried out within the body of our Women, Family and Education unit. It is a happy thing that the knowledge gained in the courses here is kneaded with skill and effort, and it turns into an income and a contribution to the family budget. I present my heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved.” After the speeches, the opening of the “From Calligraphy to Color” exhibition was held with a ribbon cutting. The exhibition at Fatih Culture and Art Center can be visited until Friday, January 21. KARINCA Project Fatih Municipality KARINCA courses continue actively in 8 different education units with 42 branches, 2 thousand 627 trainees and 45 master trainers. Our women, who acquire new professions and develop their hobbies through training, also contribute to their family budgets with the knowledge and experience they have gained.
