Odabaşı Behruz Ağa Fountain Regained Water

Odabaşı Behruz Ağa Fountain at Şehremini Neighborhood was built by placing an ornamental slab in pointed arch. The basin part that remained below road level in time was revealed with excavation.

The fountain is located at Şehremini Neighborhood on Mevlanakapı Street, to the north of Odabaşı Behruz Ağa Complex. Its date of construction is not exactly known for it has to epitaph but considering it was built with the mosque, its date of construction is considered to be 1562.

The fountain in wall of the complex was built by placing an ornamental slab in pointed arch. The basin part that remained below road level in time was revealed with excavation. Following cleaning of the façade the fountain regained water.
