Opening of Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line was Honored by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Opening ceremony of “Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System and Passenger-Focused New Generation Transportation Project” was honored by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and realized with participation of the People’s Alliance Candidate Mayor of IMM, Mr. Murat Kurum, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and Fatih Mayor Mr. M. Ergün Turan.

Opening ceremony of “Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System and Passenger-Focused New Generation Transportation Project” was honored by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and realized with participation of the People’s Alliance Candidate Mayor of IMM, Mr. Murat Kurum, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and Fatih Mayor Mr. M. Ergün Turan.

Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave the good news that Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line will be free of charge for 15 days while Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan noted that the Old Town now has the train line that it missed and wished that the line would be auspicious for Istanbul.

The 8.3-kilometer Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line that occupies a place for itself in the urban memory was modernized and presented to the service of Istanbulites. In addition to this line that was built on the coast, parallel cycling and pedestrian roads presented a pleasant transportation route for the citizens. The rail system line was integrated with pedestrian and cycling roads to create recreation areas. With “Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Urban Transportation and Recreation Project” where passengers can travel between neighborhoods between Sirkeci, Cankurtaran, Kumkapı, Yenikapı, Cerrahpaşa, Kocamustafapaşa, Yedikule, and Kazlıçeşme stations accompanied by views of the Marmara Sea, both environment-friendly transportation methods and easy access to recreation areas are targeted. This project comes forward as a step taken to make daily lives of citizens more sustainable and comfortable. With completion of the project, daily transportation experience of city residents is positively affected and environment-friendly transportation options become more widespread.
