Proud to Have Spent the Year of 2022 Full to the Fullest

Fatih Municipality, which takes a leading role in "Social Municipality" practices, left behind a year full of activities with the pride of serving thousands of people with its social and cultural activities. Here is the Z report for the year 2022 of the activities and projects carried out with Fit Fatih, Fatih Art Academy, Science Fatih, Yedikule & Ayvansaray Garden, Fatih Libraries and Yedikule Fortress...

2022 at FitFatih

While taking 1 million 200 thousand steps with 3 thousand 138 people in 108 Trekking activities, we consumed 313 kg 800 grams of nuts, 1 million 569 thousand litres of milk and 530 litres of filter coffee. We did pilates for 5,400 minutes a month with our one thousand and 884 registered members. We explored 165 locations with 143 thousand steps on the Secret Route. We measured 7 thousand 277 people with the Travelling Scale and encouraged them to start a healthy and fit life. We shared 108 healthy recipes with our followers on our social media accounts. We came together with 356 people at Health Gatherings. We cooked 358 recipes with our Little Chefs. With 2 thousand 637 clients, we lost 15 thousand 157 kilograms in 8 thousand 295 sessions, slimmed 13 thousand 789 cm waist and burnt 11 thousand 99 kg fat. We provided psychological support to 1 thousand 108 clients in 4 thousand 532 sessions.

2022 at Fatih Art Academy

While one thousand 300 children learnt to play an instrument as a hobby, 83 of our students embarked on a professional journey to realise their dream of joining an orchestra. 272 of our students participated in the "Drama Assisted Self-Confidence Workshop" and displayed outstanding performance. Two thousand 200 students in Fatih took their "first steps into art" at our academy. One thousand 115 adult Fatih residents met with art in music courses; 90 people who participated in our Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music choirs gave a concert as a product of their work. 380 adults participated in Production and Design Workshops, opened exhibitions with their works, and produced hundreds of products. 50 young cinema enthusiasts took their first steps to become the filmmakers of the future by participating in the Clapper Cinema Academy.

2022 at Science Fatih

Throughout the year, we met with 23 thousand 212 students and provided training to 7 thousand 982 students from 35 schools. In our online lessons, we held lessons with one thousand 615 students from 11 provinces. We applied to 28 competitions with 76 students at Teknofest. We met with one thousand 380 students at the Teknofest Black Sea. While providing education to 2 thousand 650 students and seminars to 460 people at the Science Festivals, we held workshop activities with 286 parents and children. In our Deneyap Technology Workshops, we provide education to 8 thousand 168 students individually at our centre, while 155 active students continue their education.

2022 at Yedikule & Ayvansaray Garden

We hosted a total of 41 thousand and 562 people, planted seeds in 20 thousands and188 pots, organised terrarium workshops with 998 women, and treated 698 plants. The plant we treated the most was the orchid. We planted 14 thousand 300 seedlings, 26 fruit saplings and harvested 200 kilos of tomatoes, 224 kilos of cucumbers, 125 kilos of peppers, 357 kilos of aubergines, 400 kilos of courgettes with our little farmers. We distributed 6 thousand 983 quince jam, 23 thousand 824 strawberry jam, 19 thousand 560 fig jam, 14 thousand 500 tomato paste, 7 thousand pickles to our fellow residents of Fatih.

2022 at Fatih Libraries

We met with 1 million 368 thousand 722 students in our library. We read 8 million 259 thousand 300 pages of books. While drinking 3 million 757 thousand 600 cups of tea, 475 thousand 368 cups of coffee; we warmed the students with 1 million 236 thousand 960 bowls of hot soup. We printed 567 thousand 731 pages. While hosting our guests from the most distant districts, we saw that true affection knows no barriers and that reading has no age with one of our guests born in 1928.

2022 at Yedikule Fortress

The Fortress was visited by 44 thousand 656 people during the day and 2 thousand 133 people at night by lantern. While 2 thousand 517 of our visitors were tourists, 18 thousand 195 of them were students. The Fortress, where 5 million 320 thousand 744 stairs were climbed, hosted 3 exhibitions and 47 artworks. 104 hours of film and series shootings took place in the Fortress, where 23.5 hours of guests enjoyed the films. While all this was happening, Porte, the mascot of Yedikule Fortress, consumed 68 kilograms of food.
