Restoration of the Şahrah Fountain Has Been Completed

Within the scope of Fatih Municipality's efforts to protect historical fountains and pass them on to future generations, the restoration of the Şahrah Fountain in Cibali has been completed.

It is not known by whom the Şahrah Fountain dated 1559, located on Esrardede Street in Cibali Quarter, near Tahir Ağa Mosque, was built.

The cement-based insufficient repairs on the fountain, which has a simple appearance and pointed arches, were removed and the necessary completions and plastic repairs of the lost parts were made. The fountain, whose basin and benches under the road level were revealed, whose landscaping was made and whose inscription was gilded, was restored to its water supply.
