Dünya Engelliler Günü dolayısıyla düzenlenen TÖSSFED Ödül Gecesi, Gençlik ve Spor Bakanı Osman Aşkın Bak ile Fatih Belediye Başkanı M. Ergün Turan'ın katılımıyla gerçekleştirildi. Başkan Turan, kendisine takdim edilen Spor Ödülü'nün büyük bir gurur kaynağı olduğunu belirtti.

TÖSSFED Award Ceremony, organised on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, was held with the participation of Mr. Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Mr. M. Ergün Turan, Mayor of Fatih Municipality. Mr. Turan, Mayor of Fatih Municipality stated that the Sports Award presented to him was a great source of pride.

Turkish Special Athletes Sports Federation (TÖSSFED) Award Ceremony, organised on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, witnessed meaningful moments. In the event held with the participation of Mr. Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports and Mr. M. Ergün Turan, Mayor of Fatih Municipality, the achievements of people with disabilities in the field of sports and important works that affected their lives were celebrated.

Receiving the Sports Award presented by TÖSSFED at the night, Mr. M. Ergün Turan, Mayor of Fatih Municipality stated that the award was a great honour for him. In his speech, Mr. Turan, the Mayor emphasised that as a municipality, they will continue to work devotedly to make disabled people an integral part of social, cultural and economic life. Indicating that the steps they have taken and the projects they have implemented in line with the goal of ‘Fatih without Barriers’ aim to facilitate the lives of our brothers and sisters with disabilities, Mr. Turan, the Mayor said that the sensitivity and determination in this field will continue to increase.

In his speech at the award ceremony, Mr. Birol Aydın, Chairman of TÖSSFED explained the activities carried out by the federation to increase the participation of people with disabilities in sports and thanked the institutions and individuals who supported them in this process. Mr. Aydın, the Chairman pointed out that people with disabilities should become more visible not only in the field of sports but also in every aspect of life.

Throughout the ceremony, the spirit of solidarity and messages of unity for a Türkiye without barriers stood out in the night where the perseverance and achievements of athletes with disabilities were appreciated.
