We Continue to Add Colour to Fatih with Our Facade Rehabilitation Works

With the urban design applications and facade rehabilitation works carried out by Fatih Municipality at 5 different points of the district, Fatih continues to attain a unique appearance. The regions, which have become the centre of attraction of the city with their colourful images, have also become popular destinations for local and foreign tourists and photography enthusiasts. Now, let's take a look together at how many buildings and in which region the works are being carried out.

350 Facades in Golden Horn are now Colourful!

In order to ensure urban aesthetics in Balat district, which has a unique history, the facades of 350 buildings on the coastal line are being renovated under the supervision of KUDEB (Directorate of Cultural Assets, Conservation, Implementation and Supervision) in a way to create a visual integrity. Renovation works have been completed on 250 facades and are still ongoing in the remaining buildings.

Works Continue in 400 Structures in Lonca

In the facade renovation project carried out in Lonca, one of the most beautiful examples of old Istanbul quarters with a history of approximately 500 years, work on 230 buildings has been completed. With the ongoing project in 170 buildings, Fatih continues to become more beautiful and colourful.

Works have been completed in 56 Buildings on Kiremit Street

Kiremit Street in the unique Balat quarter has been included in the facade rehabilitation works carried out by Fatih Municipality in the district. With the project that has been initiated in 102 buildings on the street and completed in 56 of them, the facades have gained a colourful appearance.

Küçükmustafapaşa Becomes Colourful with the Renovation of 300 Buildings

With the Urban Design Facade Rehabilitation Project, which will cover 15 streets and 300 buildings in Küçükmustafapaşa District, simple maintenance and repair works of 45 buildings have been completed with the aim of concealing the air conditioning units on the facades of the buildings with separators, enclosing the cables in channels, relocating the satellite dishes, painting the facades and thereby achieving a clean appearance.

11 Buildings of Civil Architecture Examples are being Meticulously Renovated in Zeyrek

Simple maintenance and repair works are being carried out meticulously in 11 buildings that are examples of civil architecture in Zeyrek Region. In the project where 5 buildings have been completed, the work on the remaining buildings still continues.

Facade Rehabilitation Works

With the urban design and facade rehabilitation projects that also support the economic and social vitality of Fatih, the load-bearing carcasses, rooftops, facade claddings, doors and windows of the buildings are being renovated in accordance with their originals. The facades are cleared of poor quality additions and the cables on the facade are enclosed in a channel and the external units of air conditioners are organised in a certain order. After the satellite dishes are transferred to the roofs of the buildings, the buildings are painted in colours suitable for the traditional architecture and texture.
