Yedikule Square Fountain Restoration is Completed

The "Yedikule Square Fountain" located at the intersection of Kuyulu Bakkal Street and İmam Hüseyin Street in Yedikule Quarter of Fatih has been restored.

Fatih Municipality continues to restore the historical monuments in the region and bring them to our present days. One of these ancient monuments considered as cultural heritage is Yedikule Square Fountain. It is a fountain with a reservoir designed in accordance with the main structure of Ottoman fountains. Since there is no inscription on the monument, there is no precise information about the year of its construction. The roof of the monument has not completely survived to the present day, but the traces of a hipped roof can be seen. Based on these traces, the roof has been completed and the restoration has been finalised and opened for public service.
