Ali Askar ZENGİN

Director of Environmental Protection and Control

Started working at Istanbul Police Department in 1986. In 1994, he was transferred to Eminönü Municipality.

At Eminönü Municipality, he served as Director of Management between 1996 and 1999, as Director of Cleaning Services between 1999 and 2004, as Director of Municipal Police between 2004 and 2007. In 2007, he resumed his duty as Director of Cleaning Services. In 2009, after Eminönü Municipality was merged into Fatih Municipality, he was assigned as Director of Environmental Protection and Control. He is still performing this duty.

Directorate of Environmental Protection and Control

Directorate of Environmental Protection and Control presents 24-hour non-stop cleaning and environmental services at duty areas determined by law in order to ensure a healthy and habitable environment in our district that hosts tourism and commercial centers as well as historic and cultural richness. The directorate also carries out efforts concerning environmental inspection and recycling.
