Sümeyye KOÇ

Director of Planning and Projects

Received her undergraduate degree from Haliç University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture. Had her master’s degree from Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar University Faculty of Architecture Department of Urban and Regional Planning with a major in Urban Designing.

Between 2005 and 2008, she worked at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality - İstanbul Metropol Planning/Küçükçekmece and Fatih Earthquake Focused Urban Transformation and Urban Design project as an architect. Between 2008 and 2012, she worked as project coordinator at a private construction company active in construction of hospitals, schools, and residences.

In 2012, she started working as an Architect, M.Sc. at Fatih Municipality, Directorate of Project Study, Urban Design Unit. Since July 2016, she has been serving as Director of Planning and Projects.

Directorate of Planning and Projects that aims to protect and renovate the historic fabric of our municipality that is a mosaic of cultures with its historic values. The Directorate conducts renovation efforts, projects to protect and sustain immovable cultural assets, realize urban design projects, execute architectural preliminary and final projects in various regions.
